The Guggie Daily: Confessions of a Circumcised Baby
A story of a boy's birth and circumcision, as told through the eyes of the baby boy. A moving first person account of birth and circumcision. "While my mind may never be able to reflect clearly on the surgery, somewhere within my memories it exists. It's too pivotal not to remain. The surgery was the first bad thing that happened in my life, the first time I felt a massive amount of pain, the first moment I was not comfortable and content. And it was unnecessary, because you created me perfectly inside you. There were no alterations needed.”

Beyond the Bris: Lucking into Bris Shalom
A Jewish mother writes about circumcision. She recalls as a teenager hearing her father complain about infant circumcision. Her father told her that he would not have circumcised his son, if he had one. So, instead of a Brit Milah, she opted for a Bris Shalom, a naming ceremony without any cutting of body parts.

babies, boobs, and blasphemy: Showers... and Silly Pro-Circ Argument #4
For all those that advocate infant circumcision for hygiene - get real! This mother describes how the penis the one body part that her son is sure to wash when bathing. Cleaning under the foreskin is simple and easy. And there is not a male alive who will not take a moment to play with it in the shower or bath. Read more . . .

More publicity for Ron Low, the maker of the TLC Tugger who is featured on the TLC show.

Male Circumcision and HIV: UK: Doctor struck off the medical registry for taking circumcision fetish too far
It's rare that a doctor who sexually fetishizes circumcision takes his obsession so far as to sexually abuse his patients during the course of treatment (except for recommending and carrying out the unnecessary circumcisions themselves, of course). But one has done just that. While being found not guilty of sexual assault against mostly teenage patients (hats off to those lawyers!), he has been found unfit to practice medicine.
The now former Dr. Bracka once co-authored a paper detailing a method of circumcision requiring the victim to be fully erect during the procedure.

The Reporter: Straight Talk: Senseless war against masturbation still rages
A teenager caught masturbating is grounded. The response is that it is now medically recognized that "Masturbation is a normal part of adolescent sexual development and requires no medical management." Years ago, circumcision was a common treatment to prevent masturbation.

Am I getting old or what ?!?

by Tally on April 1, 2011

I remember a time, just a few years ago, when I did stuff. For example, my extended family used to celebrate Christmas in Florida. My wife and in-laws would fly there and I would drive. I would leave in the evening, drive all night, and pick them up at the airport. I enjoyed the drive, the solitude, and the peaceful feeling of putting miles on the highway. I don't do that any more.

I don't know why. I just don't do stuff like I used to.

This past month really proves that I am not the man I used to be. Two weeks ago Hayseed Dixie was appearing in a town 1-1/2 hours away. I like Hayseed Dixie's music and I really wanted to see them. They play a different type of music, often coveing heavy metal, bluegrass style. The video below is one of their songs. Read more . . .

The Daily Targum Letters: Circumcision undermines child’s human rights
Various dictionaries list the phrase "genital mutilation" as the act of cutting all or some of the genital organs. "Mutilation" is an accurate way to describe infant circumcision. That there are possibly some benefits to this surgical procedure does not justify the act. Elective surgery — especially ones dealing with the genitals — should not be done without consent from the child. It is inexcusable to put a child through a painful ordeal that causes permanent negative changes even if there could be potential benefits.

Dr. Momma's Peaceful Parenting: He Didn't Cry: Babies in Shock
The baby lies strapped to the board. His penis is swabbed. The doctor starts the circumcision by separating the baby's foreskin from his glans. The screaming starts. The doctor then cuts the foreskin. The baby stops screaming. Quiet descends in the room as the infant goes into shock from the pain. Parents may be told the infant is asleep, but in reality the infant is in shock from the trauma of having a sensitive part of his body cut off.

Happy 2nd Birthday, RestoringForeskin.org!

by Tally on March 20, 2011

Restoring Foreskin.org second birthdayForeskin restoration site RestoringForeskin.org is two years old today. Restoring Foreskin.org is a site dedicated to men who wish to undo the damage and harm caused by their circumcision.

Two years and two weeks ago, the popular foreskin restoration site RestoreForeskin.org announced that it was shutting down in two weeks. Craig, the site admin, was not responding to anyone's request for information. Nor was he responding to any offers to take over the site.

I saw the need for a replacement site and quickly posted a request for help in building a new site. There was not much time. If a new site was to be built before RestoreForeskin.org shut down, it would require more than one person. QBMan, a Canadian restorer, stepped up and volunteered. Others volunteered to be beta testers. We quickly got to work and in record time built RestoringForeskin.org. Read more . . .

The Case Against Infant Circumcision: Do Pro-Circumcision Propagandists suffer from a Form of Stokholm Syndrome?
There is much evidence that infant circumcision is a traumatic and painful experience causing loss and deprivation, yet we find some or even many males that have been circumcised endlessly and obsessively promoting infant circumcision.  Why is this so? One explanation may be a form of Stokholm Syndrome.

WeHo News: Forget fur; what about banning circumcision?
WeHo News: Banning Circumcision
This is a very informative article describing why we circumcise our baby boys and why we should stop circumcising. The author cites the O'Hara study that found that sex with an uncircumcised partner was rated many times more satisfying than sex with a circumcised partner.

Birth Junkie: What does the baby think?
A mother says that she is "sorta a big ole fan of the science of things. I like studies and stats to back up things I am contemplating. It’s the number one reason that led me to such decisions as homebirth, breastfeeding, and not circumcizing . . . the science of it all." She describes how the medical industry runs births for their convenience and profit, regardless of the need or health for the baby.
