Baby: "No one asked me about this circumcision thing."Parents, protect your babies. Support intactivism. The following list includes blogs, articles, and websites of interest to Intactivists that were published in the past week. This is a running tally of the ones I found interesting.

Lawn cares: On the road, educating the uninformed that circumcision has no place in a just world
He drives a car with intactivist bumper stickers. His license plate reads "NOCIRCM." He draws attention to fact that male infant circumcision is harmful and needs to stop. He says, “Circumcision is a violation of human rights.  It destroys an important body structure.  It’s cruel and denies the male infant the right to decide for himself.”

Modern Alternative Pregnancy: The Five Myths Of Circumcision
There are many myths about the male foreskin, most promulgated to justify male infant circumcision. The blog busts five of the myths. The foreskin is easy to clean. The removal of the foreskin during infant circumcision is painful, both during and after the surgery. Removing the foreskin by circumcision reduces sexual pleasure. Having a foreskin means the sensitive bits are protected, resulting in better confidence and comfort. The New Testament did away with the ancient rite of circumcision.

Men do Complain: Clitoraid
“Bodily harm is against the fundamental rights of all children, and we can’t understand when a so-called civilized country such as Germany would allow its male babies to be so readily mutilated legally!” said Nadine Gary, spokesperson for Clitoraid. “It’s been done for centuries under the pretense that a god requested it, but no religion should be allowed to harm infants or children who can’t give informed consent,” she said.

Saving our Sons: Bloodstained Men and Their Friends: 12.12.12 Berlin Performance
A group of German men, circumcised against their will at birth, along with several of their supportive intact friends, spent 12/12/12 demonstrating against the recent German ruling that legalizes the forced genital cutting of healthy baby boys.

The Guardian: Male circumcision: Let there be no more tragedies like baby Goodluck
Baby Goodluck did not live up to his name. He died from a botched circumcision when he was 27 days old. Yes, an unnecessary surgery cost the boy his life. Unfortunately, his case is not unique. Earlier this year another baby died from his circumcision. But unlike the killer of baby Goodluck, the rabbi was not charged with the baby's death.

narratively: The Intact-ivists
Huffington Post: The Intact-ivists: A Diverse Group Of NYC Men Oppose Circumcision, Want To Restore Their Foreskins
An in-depth look at male circumcision and the efforts some men go to as they overcome having part of their penis cut off shortly after birth. Many men do not like being circumcised. Some of these men restore their foreskin. NORM is an organization for restoring men. The author attends a NORM meeting in New York City. The article describes some of the foreskin restoration devices, plus other devices like the Manhood, which is a type of underwear for the penis.

Nourishing our Children: Circumcision: A Very Personal Choice
An article by a man who does not like his circumcision. He is upset that a healthy part of his body was cut away before he had a say in the matter. Circumcision is a personal choice. That person is the owner of the penis subject to circumcision. It is not the parents' choice because it is not personal to them. Parents want to make the decision for someone else. Instead, parents should defer to leaving the healthy body of their son alone, so he can grow up whole and intact.

Just a Snip – against genital mutilation aka circumcision: Support INTACT AMERICA's yearly fundraising campaign
Intact America, a non-profit genital integrity advocate organization that fights to stop infant circumcision, is asking for donations. You have until January 15, 2013, to have your donation matched by another donor.

BackBencher: The One Cut Libertarians Should Oppose: Infant Circumcision
Libertarianism is a world view which puts the primacy of the individual over that of the State. One class of individual that regularly has his rights violated by society and its rules are males, in particular, infant males who are circumcised. "If libertarianism is minding your own business and keeping your hands to yourself, shouldn’t that extend to the most intimate areas of a baby who can’t speak for itself?"

Once Upon a Saturday: 301 – Circumcision 3
A circumcision comic. Normally, I do not care for comics about circumcision. They are rarely funny. This one is not funny, either. But the comic illustrates a truism that is found during circumcisions done today. Fathers often do not protect their sons, even when they know deep down that what will happen is not good. Men often cringe and cover their crotch when circumcision is mentioned. At some level they know circumcision is harmful. But they often fail to act.

Just a Snip – against genital mutilation aka circumcision: Consequences of genital mutilation (circumcision) corresponds to amputation of limbs
The life-long sexual sensory deprivation which results from circumcision has a profound effect on the neural organization of the brain, similar to that found in any amputee. So states the abstract of a 1998 study of the affects of male circumcision.
