This has been a quiet week. Little has been written about intactivism and circumcision. If it only were because so few infant circumcisions were performed. I can dream.

The infant circumcision rate is dropping in the United States. This article lists many famous men who are intact. They were spared the harm of infant circumcision and grew up to be well known.

Saving Penises: Saving Our Sons
Facebook shut down the Saving Penises page. It was reborn as Saving our Sons! Saving Our Sons (S.O.S.) is a non-profit group based out of Washington D.C. The purpose of SOS is to provide parents with accurate information on intact care and infant circumcision.

Politics Web: Tara KLamp (III): The WHO's lack of bravery
The World Health Organisation (WHO) is criticized for the fiasco of the Tar Klamp used in the circumcision campaign in Africa. Unfortunately, the article does not even address the deeper issue of whether male circumcision is even warranted, given the lack of results.

Mom is an Understatement: Routine Infant Circumcision - Genital Mutilation?
A mother writes about the normal functions of a foreskin and an intact penis. She also discusses some reasons parents feel the need to mutilate their children by having them circumcised. She ends by giving reasons to reject routine infant circumcision. Circumcision is genital mutilation and is a human rights violation.

The Body: The Complete HIV/AIDS Resource: Circumcision Among Men Who Have Sex with Men in Scotland: Limited Potential for HIV Prevention
The lack of association between circumcision and HIV status, low levels of exclusive UIAI, and low levels of willingness to take part in circumcision research suggest circumcision is unlikely to be a feasible HIV prevention strategy for MSM in the UK.
